Understand your treatment
Treatment aimed at preserving your tooth
Root canal treatment addresses inflamed or infected pulp inside a tooth. The canals are cleaned and sealed, and the tooth’s restoration is then planned. Tooth pain alone does not confirm that this procedure is needed.
Preparing for your evaluation
- Tell us about symptoms, their duration and previous treatment.
- Bring any X-rays or referrals you already have.
- We discuss the diagnosis, treatment and subsequent restoration.
How much does a root canal cost?
The cost depends on the tooth, complexity and procedures needed. Ask whether the subsequent restoration is included in the quote. Message us to arrange an evaluation and discuss these questions in person.
Ask about my evaluation ↗Questions about this treatment
Is endodontic treatment the same as a root canal?
In this context, both terms refer to treatment of the inside of a tooth.
Will it be completed in one appointment?
The number of visits depends on the case. An evaluation lets us explain the plan before starting.
Will the tooth need a restoration afterward?
Yes, restoration of the treated tooth needs to be planned. The appropriate type depends on remaining tooth structure and function.
